Pro Audio | Video | Light Powerful VOID Nexus 6 for Brahma, the prestigious club in the heart of the Marche region

The Brahma Clubship is an Italian disco club that covers over 1,000 square metres. It has been designed to breathe new life into a previously disused space. The minimalist and technological design is the result of an aesthetic process of simplification, aimed at making the club versatile and suitable for multiple uses.

In response to the acoustic challenges presented by the Brahma Clubship, the audio integration partners, JUKALAB, chose to install a Void Acoustics system. This system was specifically adapted to overcome the unique challenges of the venue, including a long room that is prone to reverberation.

‘This very large space was converted into a club, and the main room, the dance floor, presented some critical issues, one of which was certainly its length,’ explains Dario Juka of JUKALAB.

Based on our previous experience, we were sure that the ideal system would be VOID, but we had to find the right system: a system that would maintain the high quality typical of VOID, but with sufficient throw to guarantee an even sound pressure level all the way to the back of the room,' continues Dario.

The choice was a Nexus 6 system, a fixed-curvature line array designed for large rooms. This loudspeaker features an innovative internal arrangement of its 20 transducers, enabling it to cover considerable distances. The architecture includes 12 6.5' woofers and 8 1' compression tweeters, housed in a futuristic fibreglass enclosure that perfectly matches the Brahma Clubship's aesthetic.

In addition to this system, which was mounted in an L+R configuration on either side of the console, ten 18" subwoofers were installed in an arc-array configuration to provide high sound pressure levels on the dance floor. This provided a full-bodied presence on the dancefloor, while minimising reverberation to the DJ booth and areas off the dancefloor.

Air Vantage speakers with a 12" woofer were chosen for DJ monitoring and delay. These speakers offer a powerful and very precise sound, ideal for DJs to hear their performance clearly. Air Vantage was chosen both for its accurate sound and for its original and attractive design, which integrates perfectly with the console," adds Dario.
