ABC Sound Machine, the official distributor of Centolight products in Romania, recently provided the lighting system for the Magnetic stage at the Flight Festival 2024 in Timișoara, which turned out to be a hugely successful event, thanks also to a well-structured and impressive lighting design.
The collaboration with the Checkout team, owner, and organizer of the Magnetic Festival, resulted in a dynamic and engaging light show that took the festival experience to new heights.
For the Flight Festival 2024, ABC Sound Machine supplied a wide range of Centolight products, including 34 Spire X28 Pro beam moving heads, 20 Thesis 280 ZOOM wash moving heads, 4 M-liner 1040 units, and 6 Lightblaster S960 units. The setup, controlled by an Avolite Arena controller, included four DMX universes to ensure precise control and flawless performance.
Mr. Csaba Endreffy of ABC Sound Machine emphasized, "We created a custom setup for the client, using a total of 34 Centolight Spire X28 Pro beam pieces, 20 Centolight Thesis 280 ZOOM wash pieces, 4 Centolight M-liner 1040 pieces, and 6 Centolight Lightblaster S960 pieces."
The festival required a varied and flexible light show for a stage that was mainly used for drum 'n' bass music, with a compact setup and a high 'wow' factor. Thanks to the versatility and quality of Centolight's products, all requirements were met. "The main requirements were to have a dynamic light show for a drum 'n' bass music stage, with a compact setup due to stage limitations and a high wow factor based on the festival owner's requests. I think we achieved this quite well," said Mr Endreffy.
The feedback was very positive and the audience, always very participative, enjoyed the light show. "The feedback was just incredible. Everyone admired the light show and the programming. Most people compared the light show of this more compact stage to that of the main stage of the festival and told us that the work done was extraordinary," said Mr Endreffy.
Centolight products were chosen for their excellent value for money, wide range, excellent support and ease of use. "We chose to work with Centolight products because they are very well suited to the needs of the Romanian market. They have an excellent quality/price ratio, a wide range of products, very good support and are easy to use. As far as we know, they are highly appreciated by lighting designers".
We then asked our protagonist for his thoughts on the market in Romania, trying to take the "temperature" of the live events market.
"The professional entertainment market in Romania is growing and offers great opportunities. Events such as Untold, Neversea, Electric Castle and Beach, Please are gaining international fame and contributing significantly to the music and entertainment sector. In general, there are significant opportunities for growth, especially with continued investment in equipment, infrastructure and digital innovation," concluded Mr Endreffy.
