If we told you that with a LCT 140 AIR stereo couple you wouldn’t need anything else, would you believe it? We are well aware that many companies say that, but how many can really make such assumptions while offering a product with this price and quality?
These
condenser narrow capsule cawrdioid microphones are made with great care and
offer quality sound, but most of all they allow you to choose between two
different “acoustic imprints” through a comfortable switch: AIR for a sound
optimized for more “emotional” recordings and more colored in the high end,
FLAT for absolutely authentic and neutral recordings.
Very precise construction techniques are used for the production of these
microphones, automatized in the more delicate steps, so that a perfect match in stereo couples is
guaranteed.
AIR and FLAT: a simplicity serving switch:
This might
be the most interesting characteristic of the new LCT 140, that through a
simple switch allows you to choose a sound called AIT, more fresh and crispy on
high frequencies, perfect when you want to enhance the voice recording without
doing too much post production.
On the
other side, the FLAT setting provides a lineat frequency response to be used
when an authentic take of instruments like drums, strings, acoustic guitars or
choir is needed.
To complete
the microphone you have a pad selector for -12dB attenuation and a linear low
cut filter @ 80Hz with attenuation of 12dB/Octave.
The 17mm
(0.67”) microphone capsule is capable of handling as much as 135dB SPL and has
a dynamic range of 115dB A weighted.
Lewitt
microphones are distributed for Italy by Frenexport in Porto Recanati.
