LEWITT announces modular microphone system: a revolution in live sound.

LEWITT announces the MTP W950, an innovative modular microphone system featuring a 1-inch true condenser capsule with extreme rear rejection and invites beta testers to a field testing before its release, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022!

With the new MTP W950 modular microphone system you can easily mix live vocals, being able to "get them out" of the mix naturally.

The microphone combines studio technology with extreme feedback rejection at the back managing to produce very clear and natural vocals for both the artist on stage and the live sound engineer.

To ensure an excellent vocal quality, the MTP W950 features a 1-inch condenser capsule, a technology usually found in a recording studio. However, thanks to extreme rear rejection of more than 90% across its entire frequency range, the capsule can always express the best sound while avoiding feedback and reducing bleed to an absolute minimum, even on the loudest stages.

Modularity

How is it modular? The microphone capsule can be detached from the XLR-equipped handle and is compatible with standard wireless systems with different brands on the market, and that is why it is extremely flexible on tour.

Underneath the mic head basket there are two switchable polar patterns: cardioid and supercardioid, a 120 Hz low-cut filter, and 12 dB attenuation to handle singers with higher output or adapt the capsule to the rest of the signal chain.

The dual-layer design makes the MTP W950 immune to wind noise and "explosive pops" and protects the capsule from condensation with a drip-proof layer.

The design is convenient and safe to use, and common to other LEWITT MTP live vocal microphones, and can also avoid that unpleasant "coloring tone" when grabbing the head mic.

Roman Jagl, LEWITT product manager and project leader, is a sound engineer with more than 20 years of experience. His experience and field testing have been essential in addressing what are the weaknesses of live microphones and solving them with innovative designs:
"It is very exciting for me to be able to develop a new and innovative product in an area that I love and know well. I've witnessed all the major breakthroughs in the live sound industry in recent years, and I'm sure this microphone is another step forward. As I tested it on tour, every colleague I met immediately asked, "When can I get one?"

Roman also recalls that: "We at LEWITT would like to receive your input and feedback before the planned release. That's why we invite professional sound engineers to participate in our beta testing program."

You can sign up for the beta testing program at LEWITT and find more information about the microphone on the company's website.

The MTP W950 modular microphone system is perfect for speech and voice applications and will be available in the fourth quarter of 2022.
